It’s likely due to a variety of factors, including a delay in the release of a new HD radio and iPod dock, which is due anytime. He says “We’re hoping to catch up in the fourth quarter in sales and awareness.”

FCC delays decision on mandatory HD Radio.

As part of its approval of the merger, the FCC has said ‘no’ to requiring XM-Sirius to include HD Radio receivers in all new satellite radios. But the approval did include some requirements.
